Yuck.

I just bought a Chai Tea at the coffee cart here in the hospital. I handed my ID badge (with meal card) to the barrista and realized that the card was covered with blood. NOT MY BLOOD. Gross.

On another note, I am sorry to see that blog spammers hit me within minutes on the last post. I suppose I should figure out the word passcode dealy thing for posting comments. Almost as gross as someone else's blood, in a computer sort of way.

Time to write...

I have a couple of minutes to write this evening. Once again I am on call...OB this time. This one has been less eventful than the last (4 c-sections, and 3 "normal" births and a bunch of other crazy OB/gyn plumbing issues you don't want me to go into)...so far. I can't really step away from the desk without anything happening, so I am kind of stuck here. I actually had the weekend (except the holiday) off and got to relax a little with Jana and Jackson. We managed to head out to Palmer (north of Anchorage) for the State Fair. Ahhh, simple pleasures. Now I am on a 20 day run without any days off, but will be rewarded with a week in AZ/IN.

There are all kinds of things I would like to comment on, but am unfortunately short of energy to do so. The tragedy in Louisiana is heart breaking, and if I new I could do any good with my limited training, I would honestly volunteer to go there, my concerns with how the relief is being handled, not withstanding. Please check out Brian's (Monkeys and Typewriters - Uncle Brian's Rant on my non updated links list) and Kyle's (Pathologically Speaking) pages for some good comments and links> Livin' La Vida Roko also has an amazing link to a satellite image of New Orleans. This is what finally made me realize that the story isn't complete sensationalism. Keeppup the good writing guys, so I don't have to. Peace.
