Yuck.
I just bought a Chai Tea at the coffee cart here in the hospital. I handed my ID badge (with meal card) to the barrista and realized that the card was covered with blood. NOT MY BLOOD. Gross.
On another note, I am sorry to see that blog spammers hit me within minutes on the last post. I suppose I should figure out the word passcode dealy thing for posting comments. Almost as gross as someone else's blood, in a computer sort of way.

At least the blood on your stuff is from the same species.
Actually, I guess that's worse from an infectious point of view.
This why I have two lab coats--the one I wear outside of the lab, and the one I actually work in.
I hate hate hate seeing people in their lab coats in the cafeteria/food areas. Drives me crazy. Just for the reason you described. Ew.
Along the same lines, Brian, why on earth do you wear a lab coat (even if it's clean) outside the lab? I don't get it at all.
I work in multiple sites (COM main building, LSN, UAC) and I am often walking between them...often in a hurry (i.e., I don't have time to be taking coats on and off every time I move between places). So I wear the clean one when I'm doing that. The less clean one when I'm just working in my "main" lab, which is where most of the, er, magic happens.
Totally with you on the cafeteria thing.
Salad by the ounce is a valid method of determining the price of lettuce. And potate salad. Everybody likes potates, eh? So stop yer whinin' about cafetorium food before The Corky decides not to drive through Canadia on the way to the crazy white north on the way to his new important job.
Blood is gross and far worse than beer. If you had beer stains, we would all respect you far more...
I have beer stains, alright. The Corky must not fear the journey, because it is the journey, not the destination that provides the most potates.
