I'm going to steal my life back...don't tell

I have spent the past three months in a cave. Not the cool kind of cave with bats and stalactites (go up) and stalagmites (go down), not even the kind with commercialized colored lighting and the dramatic orchestral music which plays as the colors and shadows fade in and out. I'm talking about the kind of cave where the dark reaches of the soul come out to play, only if they can hold the hand of their mother, protecting them from the things that go bump in the night.

Perhaps it wasn't that bad. Perhaps I even enjoyed a little of the pain. Perhaps I lost my mind years ago when I entered medical school. Fortunately for all of us, the past three months are now the proverbial water under the bridge. My schedule has lightened, my responsibilities have somewhat diminished, and I can pay more attention to my son, my wife, and the unborn twins nestling between Jana's bladder and small instestine.

My intentions...read, exercise, hike, play, write, and go to Kodiak. Yes, I will be writing from afar once again. The island of Kodiak, home of the Kodiak Brown Bear (largest in the world), also apparently home to a movie theatre, brew pub, and some of the best fishing ever. Good times are here again. Good times...

PS-Slightly creepy 3D baby pictures to come soon.
